Across the street, to
the west, is a small park with an assortment of equipment for
children to play on. Within six blocks of the complex is an
elementary school, Lindy’s Thriftway grocery store and a restaurant,
the First Street Bar and Grill.
Within the City of
Hiawatha there is a large hospital and several doctors’ offices.
The Brown County
Historical society, Ag Museum and Davis Memorial are a few of the
points of interest in the city. Hiawatha Lake is located one mile
south of town on Highway 73, a great place for fishing and
picnicking. There are several shelter houses for use at the lake.
Hiawatha High School
and Middle School are within one mile of the complex.
There is a Wal-Mart
SuperCenter at the edge of town.
